“Great for the sports enthusiast as well as the constant traveler!”
The —17.3″ product designation refers not to the size of the bag itself but rather, to the size of laptop it can hold in addition to everything else it’s meant for and it’s roughly 20″ from top to bottom—but it is meant to hold everything you need to go from work to working out even up to a size 22 sneaker or shoe for all you folks with some really big feet. I’ve taken my Baller’s Bag on a couple of trips now and I must say that it is certainly versatile and fits perfectly in the overhead bin, and is easy to get through security with.
With so many pockets and storage options, and lest we forget the removable mini-tote which is available separately is our understanding. There are a total of 8 zippered compartments with two large main areas for carrying use including the notebook/tablet and if you’re really clever you can use the third front compartment where the ball would go for carrying your stuff. I used it for extra shoes on my last trip.
On top of the bag is a smaller top load zippered pocket/pouch where you can keep your phone, watch and keys and baby pictures or whatever smaller items you need. I also was able to use it as a storage for my passport and ID, so get creative. That being said, there are still a ton of options to enjoy, even a couple I came across by accident.
As a person who travels extensively and has to deal with the fine folks at TSA on a regular basis the side pockets are meshed for you to place items where they can be clearly seen. Special Note: I like this bag so much; I’ am thinking about making the Swiss Precision Baller Bag the Official bag of the Fastlane Lifestyle Magazine; High Speed Divas 2014 team for when they make their appearances at signings and other events, as it is perfect for traveling!
The Pro has two large wide, comfortable shoulder straps and when I say comfortable that’s exactly what I mean! Try traipsing through an airport from one end to the other and then about 3 acres to the car service and not feeling like your shoulders are being cut into comfortable! There is also a great gel feeling handle on top useful for pulling your bag down from the overhead storage bin, and the look is just stunning (for a backpack). The red color makes it easy to spot and keep track of in a crowd.
It is evident that no expense has been spared in making this bag sturdy, and sharp. The zippers are large, chunky, affairs with a rubber middle and metal sides. I don’t particularly think all of the color schemes available are great, but to each their own (and presumably the quality of the material doesn’t change with the color). The bags are available in custom colors, as well as based on team colors, or country colors and I’m sure your own personal preference.
I couldn’t find anything about the bag that I didn’t like. It even comes with two bags to put your shoes in before putting them into the side pockets of the bag. Prices range from $89.99 to $229.99 (Custom Colors) depending, seemingly, on the size of the laptop you want to include and whether, with that size laptop you want the basic or more deluxe version of the bag (the Pro 17.3″ which we had, Lists for $199.99).
